Our program

age

Tulip Tree Montessori is specifically curated for walking toddlers three years old and younger. If your child turns 3 after January 1 during the school year (Aug-June), they are eligible for enrollment.

Montessori Curriculum

Our Montessori curriculum consists of five main subjects areas - practical life skill building, psycho-sensory motor development, music + movement, language, and arts + crafts. All of our formal lessons take place during 2 hours of uninterrupted work time each morning.

hours + Location

8:00am - 4:00pm Monday-Thursday

Tulip Tree Montessori offers care from 8am until 4pm, Monday through Thursday. We have regularly scheduled seasonal breaks throughout the year, totaling 42 weeks of care. Each family receives a school calendar during the enrollment process.

Tulip Tree is nestled in the Glendale neighborhood on the North East side of Indianapolis. Exact location shared during the enrollment process.

grace + courtesy

In addition to our formal curriculum, we prioritize the development of grace and courtesy skills within our community. We do this by modeling the behaviors we want to see and by introducing language that lays a foundation towards respecting others.

tuition

$1250/mo.

Our school year is from August through June. Tuition includes childcare from 8am-4pm, a comprehensive Montessori education, two organic homemade snacks daily, outdoor attire needed for our year-round outdoor adventures, hypoallergenic diapers + wipes, and afternoon enrichment opportunities.

outdoors

We go outside every single day. Yes, even on frigid winter days and during pouring rain. Our time spent outdoors provides young children with essential gross motor refinement, opportunities for social problem solving, and deeply satisfying sensory experiences.

Admissions process

  • The first step is to apply using the form below. We will review it and get back to you as soon as possible.

  • We interview families in a public place prior to the tour.

  • We will walk you through the classroom and introduce you to the Montessori approach to education.

  • We invite all new families to observe our classroom in action. This helps solidify what Montessori is and how their child will spend their days.

  • The final step is to set up a home visit. This is a special visit our lead teacher makes to your home to meet your child in their element and where they feel the most safe - at home. This visit takes place the week before school begins to help reduce those first day jitters.

Application

Tulip Tree Montessori is nestled in the Glendale neighborhood on the North East side of Indianapolis. Our exact location will be provided to families after the interview process.
